Quality Management and Environment Management System
The ISO 9000 series is a collective term for the international standards for quality management systems specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and ISO 9001 constitutes the core of that series.
KEL received certification for ISO 9001 in 1996, and the following two items make up its quality policy.
1. KEL Corporation works as one to meet customers’ requirements for the connectors, sockets, harnesses, racks and peripheral parts that KEL produces, and to provide product quality that satisfies customers.
2. KEL Corporation accurately understands and meets customers’ requirements, sets targets for product quality improvement, and evaluates and reviews theresults of improvement, with the aim of enhancing its quality management systems.
The ISO 14000 series is a collective term for the international standards for environmental management systems specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and ISO 14001 constitutes the core of that series.
KEL received certification for ISO 14001 in 2002, and endeavors to conserve the environment and prevent pollution by promoting the following four items: (1) waste reduction, (2) energy saving and resource saving, (3) proper management of chemical substances, and (4) development and provision of environmentally friendly products.
ISO/TS 16949 is an international standard for quality management systems in the automotive industry.
Whereas ISO 9001 is a general standard for quality management systems applicable to all industries, ISO/TS 16949 is a standard that contains the requirements (about 80 items) specific to the automotive industry in addition to the requirements of ISO 9001.
KEL completed certification registration for ISO/TS 16949 in 2015.
