DY Series
0.5mm Pitch 2 Piece Floating Connector
In addition to a small pitch of 0.5 mm, the DY Series also provides ±0.5 mm of float in both X and Y directions, and this support for significant amounts of displacement in combination with the connectors compact design contributes greatly to the miniaturization of devices. Floating-side connectors are available with or without positioning embossments. Furthermore, a suction surface is included in order to provide for situations where the other connector is mounted automatically. Each connector comprises two individual components - a moveable contact section and a fixed soldered section - joined together in a highly compact configuration.
Although a load is applied to the soldered section in the case of moveable contact sections, fixing tools attached to both sides of the insulator work to reduce this load. The compact design of these connectors makes them ideal for SMT applications, while lead-free plating is also used...
