Smart cards are typically used in electronic money solutions, automatic vending machines, data reader/writers, set-top boxes, ID devices, and the like, and certain devices require low-cost connectors with high levels of reliability in terms of insertion and withdrawal reliability. Our new ISC5 Series provides landing-type, DIP-compliant connectors (in contrast to our current ISC3 Series, which uses SMT connectors). These new connectors inherit as is the most beneficial characteristics of the ISC3 Series - namely, KEL's unique Seesaw Contact technology, the highly-reliable landing method, and stable quality through lower component numbers. Consequently, a wider range of options is now available for selection.
