As laptop computers become increasingly thin, compact, and lightweight, so must the batteries used to power them. Lithium-ion is being gradually replaced as the standard battery format by lithium-polymer, on account of the high degree of freedom in design that this format affords and its high power capacity per unit of surface area. KEL`s new KF2X-31 Series features mounting heights of 3.4 mm (PC side) and 2.6-mm (battery-pack side), representing a significant lowering of profiles from those of conventional products.
Naturally, the shift towards lithium-polymer batteries also generates demand for battery connectors to be thinner than ever before, and the GF Series provides an ideal solution.
Furthermore, with reliability enhanced by a 1.6-mm coupling stroke and different battery shapes supported by both a standard variation (GF21 Series) and reverse variation (GF22 Series), this product line offers superior ease-of-use.
