■ The "8611-FL Series" is a new addition to the 0.635mm-pitch board-to-board "8600 Series" connectors that were launched earlier. The 8611-FL connectors are of a step horizontal connection-type, designed for SMT connection, compatible with automatic mounting, and highly reliable with an engaged depth of 2mm.

Like the 8600 Series, the new 8611-FL connectors are robustly built for industrial applications, with no engagement play. They engage with a positive "click" and resist prying force. The mold is specially shaped so that the connector can only be inserted in one way. The 8611-FL connectors have a range of convenient features to enhance user friendliness. For example, they come with or without a board locating boss, and are equipped with an adhesive face to facilitate automatic mounting.

Currently, the 8611-FL Series step horizontal connection-type connectors are only available in 140-contact versions. We plan to expand the range to include versions with various numbers of contacts, and also to develop stack-type versions and those designed for cables. The wide range of products will meet almost any customer needs for both industrial and consumer applications.
